A Boy and a Tractor (a John Deere to be exact!)

So, I am sure that to any of you who have been raising a boy for any length of time will be saying a loud “Duh” by the end of this post. But I am going to open myself up to that for the sake of some cute photos.

My son LOVES large machines–especially if they move. He loves buses, trains, trucks, airplanes and lately he also LOVES tractors. Several nights ago, we heard a loud noise coming from the field directly to the south of our house. My son could see the tractor pulling the baler and was eagerly pointing and talking about it. We walked down to the end of the street and watched the tractor and the baler for about 45 minutes. He was enthralled!!

The next day, I saw the tractor and baler parked in the field. So, he and I took a little walk and visited the tractor. He was in LOVE!

It was so fun to just sit back and watch him touch the wheels, tires and bolts.

And just so you know, these last pictures were not posed at all. He just leaned up next to that tire and his mom thinks it is TOTALLY adorable!!

Gail, what lens did you use for these shots?

So fun! He looks so much like Aaron in these pictures.

I think your kids learned to “pose” before they learned how to walk. Cute!

    • I won’t deny that they know how to pose. However, SOME of the poses and smiles they choose are of questionable value and just look downright strange. At least this one was cute.

    Gayle,

Great photos! I love the brightness and focus. I probably took 4,000 photos while in Kenya, but had issues with the light and getting things right with the black faces (harder than you might think!) especially in contrast with the white ones. I have a lot of photos on this blog: koins4kenya.blogspot.com. I would love to get together with you and talk about how you do things…prep photos for your blog, use flickr for posting, process photos in lightroom…lots of things :) I am impressed with your skills!
