DSLR Photography Classes in Utah County–Fall 2010

Do you have a digital SLR camera but very little knowledge about how to use it? Have you been frustrated by the results you are getting from your nice camera? Do you wish you could take better control of your camera and just take better photos of your family and the beauty around you?

Whether you want to photograph nature, landscapes, or your children and family, this class will help you take control of your camera and start getting the photos you want.

What the class will cover?

• The relationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
• Using your camera in Manual mode.
• Metering
• Exposure
• Basics of white balance, focus modes and file types.
• Using Natural Light
• Composition
• Some basic processing tips.

Required: an SLR camera (a camera that is capable of changing lenses.)

Class Dates: 4-Week Class–Wednesday evenings in September 2010 beginning September 8th (Sept 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th) from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Spanish Fork, UT (I’ll email additional information upon registration.)
OR:
1-Day Class Saturday, September 18th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Spanish Fork, UT (location information emailed prior to class.)

Cost: $150

Additional Details

• I only offer a limited amount of seats for each class to ensure that classes are small with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn on YOUR camera.
• All attendees receive 15% off a future photography session by Gayle Vehar Photography.

• All attendees receive a special tips and tricks booklet with much of the class information and to allow for taking notes.
• Simple assignments will be given after each class to practice/apply the topics learned.
• Plenty of opportunity will be given to ask questions.
• Bring a friend or come make some new ones!
